Welcome

 "The Dogwood Digest"  began with only two people and their dreams.  Glenna (that's me) has written "things" for years.  Some of those "things" were worth reading and others were simply scribbles on pages that no one else would ever understand, but never the less, I wrote them. "The Dogwood Digest" gives me an outlet to share those thoughts, those scribbles that have never been seen before. Those hopes, thoughts, dreams and plans that otherwise may never have wings.  Sharing validates them and regardless of where that may lead, it makes them real  Once shared, they no longer hover in the corners of my mind wrapped in cobwebs from being undisturbed,  but rather take flight and hopefully become YOURS as well as mine. I am an old soul from an era and place that has all but been forgotten in these unsettled times.  I love button jars, old quilts, and people with lines on their faces,  And of course animals - all animals really but I have to say nothing on Earth compares to the love of a good dog!
And then there's Joey.  Let's call him the brains of the operation.  He may not write quite as many articles as I will but believe me, he's there, editing every article, working with the webdesign, correcting my mistakes, offering suggestions and popping in on a few articles that float his boat.  Our two styles are different, he's left brained and deals with those cold hard facts more than I do and I am right brained and write from the far right.  However, the two of us make a delightful combo when we try!    As some of his admiring fans like to say, #Joeyisalegend.  Whichever style you like, we are both here to share our hearts with you in an effort to connect us all as a community of animal loving folks, working to make the world a better place.    And to that I might add IT'S ABOUT TIME!
